Nila Wilson

Dr. Nila Wilson began teaching elementary school in Detroit in 1966. She became an elementary counselor in Royal Oak in 1972. When that program was discontinued Nila served as a counselor at SEOVEC, the vocational center. She went on to teach in the TAG program at Mark Twain and more recently has been a counselor at Addams Middle School. The ROEA has benefited from her years of service on the Executive Board.

Nila is looking forward to working as a consultant in diversity training and she will volunteer as a docent at the DIA in the Art to Schools program. She will also have more time for her church position as Director of Outreach to Detroit Schools. Mainly Nila wants to travel-travel-travel, beginning with a trip to Alaska in August.
