2004 ROEA FAMILY MEMBER SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

Steven Conaton David Flynn Kristen Turner
Steven plans to attend Western Michigan University to study for a degree in Music. He would like to become a high school band teacher. Steven has been involved in the National Honor Society and other volunteer and community service activities as well as being a leader in the Lake Orion High School band. His father, James Conaton, is the Kimball High School band director. David will study political science at  Michigan State University. He is especially interested in labor relations and philosophy and would like to be involved in politics. He was senior class president class at Sterling Heights High School. His mother is Linda Flynn, a School to Career teacher at Kimball. Kristen plans to study elementary education at Michigan State University. She played soccer and was editor of the yearbook at Walled Lake Western High School. She was an active member of the National Honor Society and achieved high honors in all four years of high school. Her mother is Kathleen Michaels, Royal Oak Schools occupational therapist.
