Steve started teaching in Royal Oak in 1972 at Longfellow El. After a year he went to Grant Elementary where he taught for 6 years. His next stop was Northwood where he met Noel in September and married her in February! In 1981 he moved to Franklin for one year and then on to Whittier where he has been teaching 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th grade for twenty years. The ROEA appreciates his years of service on the executive board as Elementary Director.  Steve has especially loved one of teaching's great perks - summer vacation! He plans to spend as much time as possible playing golf at Plum Hollow. His advice to teachers who can't retire yet?  - "Hang tough!"
