ROYAL OAK EDUCATION ASSOCIATION

MINUTES OF THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
December 11, 2003

President Kardon called the meeting to order at 4:19 p.m. in the Kimball High School cafeteria.

President Kardon thanked the following for their help with the negotiations for this tentative agreement.

The members of the Executive Board.

The members of the Crisis Team for their work on getting the message of the ROEA out in a non-threatening manner.

	Health Care Committee that met to help gather information about the different health care plans that were available.
	The Bargaining Team: Stuart Asch, Vince Caruso, Susan Cox, Linda Flynn, Sid Kardon, Barbara Pollis, Tom Steeby.
	Paul Chambers for his work as Uniserv Director.

	All materials presented at this meeting are being made available to all members on their e-mail.
	The proposed tentative agreement was presented to the general membership.
	The proposed new language concerning probationary teachers, salary, school calendar, insurance coverage, assignment and transfer language, grievance procedure, president’s release time, “act of God” days and coaches qualification language was discussed.
	The earliest the vote on the tentative agreement would be January 5, 2004.b

The meeting adjourned at 5:23 p.m.
