MEA
SCHOLARSHIP DEDUCTIONS: The
union has requested payroll deduction for MEA scholarships. It is the practice of the District to limit payroll
deductions to only groups that serve teachers or provide tax relief.
5.
LAMPHERE
PRINT SHOP: Several
schools piloted this program last year, for big projects.
Staff can e-mail or send material for printing and the copies
are returned within 48 hours, often within 24 hours. The mail run stops at the Lamphere Print Shop twice
per day. There are 19 new
copiers throughout the District on which staff are now being trained.
These copiers will be hooked up to the network and will be used
as copiers, scanners, etc. Eventually,
we will ask people to send as much as possible to the Print Shop.
Andy Linell will solicit in-put from pilot buildings at the end
of the month to determine success.

MAIL
DELIVERY: Mail delivery
in the District is currently being re-organized and a problem has
arisen. The mail delivery
to the ROEA office is very costly and inefficient because of the
distance to Southfield. It
is 30-45 minutes each way, depending on traffic.
Everyone was asked to think about alternative ways in which the
ROEA mail could be delivered.
15.
TRAVELING
TEACHERS: Several
teachers are traveling this year and their travel time was discussed.
More information will be gathered and this will be on the next
agenda.
