Minutes
from May 9, 2002 were approved as corrected.

SICK BANK: Postponed one request for Sick
Bank.

PERSONAL BUSINESS DAYS: Approved 5
requests
for P.E. Days. The use of P.E. days needs
to be reviewed before we go into bargaining. The language
interpretation has become somewhat “gray.”

SERVICE PINS: Discussion of meaningful
staff recognition. A group of teachers will be asked for feedback.

CAFETERIA
PLANS: ROEA has a Cafeteria Plan for benefits in the contract. We
need to have information sessions in the fall so members
understand their options.

PRESIDENT RELEASE TIME: Discussion of
President’s release time for 2002-
03. A confirmation of MEA support will be
send to the Personnel Office.

2002-03 DATES REQUIRING JOINT COMMITTEE
APPROVAL: Review of days that need Joint Committee approval if
people need a P.E. day.

WHITTIER PLANNING TIME: The ROEA reviewed
Whittier’s proposal and the Executive Board has given approval.
A letter of agreement will be signed by the ROEA and the
administration. The parents can be notified before the end of

BARGAINING: Discussion of dates to begin.
