minutes from the April 28, 2004 Joint Committee meeting.
2.
Salary for
Competitive Cheerleading Head Coach – A letter of agreement will be drafted
that sets the Competitive Cheerleading Head Coach’s salary for the 2004-05
school year. Level of involvement is
anticipated to equate the Men’s Head Wrestling Coach therefore salary will be
equal.
3.
Action
Research Evaluation – The pilot will be extended and expanded for the 2004-05
school year.
4.
Whittier
Teacher Planning Days – The
program will continue for the 2004-05 school year.
5.
401 (a) Plan – AIG Valic presented a retirement
and/or separation “Special Pay” plan
for consideration.
6.
Uncensored High School Library Computer –
Resolved.
7.
Sick Bank Form – Resolved.
8.
Request for Sick Bank Leave – Approved one
request for Sick Bank withdrawal totaling 6 days, which required the use of 91.5
days during the 2003-04 school year. Sick
Bank is overdrawn by 51.5 days.
9.
Request for Personal Business Days – Two
requests were approved.
10. Valid Teaching Certificates – Teachers need to have renewed
expired certificates or completed the required steps for renewal, and turned in
all documentation to the Human Resource Department, no later than August 25,
2004.
11.
Teacher Confidentiality – Teachers are reminded
that teacher to student confidentiality does not exist under the law.
The ROEA will include information on this matter in its fall newsletter.
12.
2004-05 Joint Committee Schedule - Approved.
13.
2004-05 Staff Meeting Calendar Approved. (See
below).
14.
Layoff and Posting – The District continues to
post and recall teachers.
15.
Placement of Teachers Returning From Leave –
Resolved.
16.
Tabulating Seniority – Microsage has been
updated to be more accurate in tabulating seniority.
The updated version will go into use during the 2004-05 year.
17.
New Contract Language – Is currently being
worked on.
18.
Teacher’s Credits to Maintain Position – Will
be reviewed.
19.
ERI – In progress.
20.
High School Math – Resolved.
21.
Transition Team Update – Applications are being
accepted until June 9th. All
staff members are encouraged to apply.
22.
ESEA Committee – S. Kardon and T. Shorkey will meet to
organize the ESEA committee.
23.
Pool Safety – Continues to be worked on.
