IN ATTENDANCE: Steve Gaynor, Sandra Standel, Kay Cornell, John Schwartz, Sid Kardon, Kim Pino, Linda Flynn

  1. DIRECT DEPOSIT: This will begin with the second payroll in March. Staff will be notified to provide information on where they would like funds deposited.
  2. APPROVAL OF DECEMBER AND JANUARY, 2000 MINUTES: Minutes were approved as corrected.
  3. SICK BANK REQUEST: Approved two requests for sick bank days to a total of 44 days leaving a total of days in the Sick Bank.
  4. PERSONAL BUSINESS DAYS: Approved 3 requests for days before and after February break and before Memorial Day.
  5. OLD BUSINESS:
    bulletAdministrative decision regarding supplemental pay for a teacher on leave.
    bulletDiscussed funding of CP and Special Olympics
  6. CALENDAR 2001-02: There is still no information from the county. Steve Gaynor will bring this issue up at the next Superintendents’ meeting and will e-mail everyone with the information he gets.
  7. TEACHER EVALUATION: Agreed to extend timelines for the development of new evaluation process. The new deadline is March 1, 2002.
  8. ESL: Discussed ESL staffing at Addams and ESL issues in general.
  9. LETTER OF DISCIPLINE: Draft was faxed to ROEA on 1-26-01. Discussion of one of the letters with the suggestion for a change in wording. The letter will be changed as suggested.
  10. COMMUNICATION WITH ROEA LEADERSHIP: Discussion of who principals should be communicating with regarding union issues.
  11. ATTENDANCE—ROEA PRESIDENT: Discussion of how to record days missed. At this point, teacher need to call their building as well as the substitute call-in system.
  12. PROFESSIONAL vs. HOURLY EMPLOYEES: Discussion of professional behavior. Also discussed the possibility of summer training for BFCs.
  13. LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING—OTC: The letter is ready and will be sent to OTC.
  14. NEW VACANCIES: There are two half-time vacancies as a result of people leaving the District. Discussion of possible candidates for the remainder of the semester—candidates to be put on a letter of employment.
