Doug Cooper

Doug Cooper taught at Jane Addams School for five years. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in English and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Wayne State University. He was a member of the National Teacher Corps. Prior to teaching in Royal Oak he worked in Clawson, Detroit, Pontiac, Bloomfield Hills and England where he served as a Fulbright Exchange Teacher. He loves to travel and is presently involved with the St. Francis Foundation of Michigan. This is a charitable organization dedicated to preserving the environment and providing support for Native American education. We wish he had spent more years here in the Royal Oak District teaching English and Language Arts. He has a wonderful way of teaching and sharing literature.
