Here is a summary of Priscilla Bowen's introduction of Paul Charette: 

Paul Charette is retiring after 35 years of teaching - 2 years in Detroit, 10 years at Barton Jr. High, 4 years at Addams Jr. High, 9 1/2 at Dondero and 7 years at Kimball High School. He also provided instruction to night school students.  Mr. Charette went to great lengths to share his passion for social studies with his students.  He is famous for the maps and the Great Wall of China that he painted on his classroom walls.  Somehow, he also managed to acquire an Egyptian mummy tomb for his classes.

He's looking forward to spending more time on his hobbies - bird watching and casting and painting miniature soldiers.
