Vince Caruso

Vince Caruso started teaching in Royal Oak as a substitute at Dondero H. S. in 1971. He became a full time Business Ed. teacher at Dondero in 1973. Since 1976 he has been a Learning Disabilities and Academic Support Teacher at Jefferson, Oakland, Kimball and Dondero. Vince is looking forward to spending time at his cottage on the Manistee River. He's eager to fly fish, kayak,  canoe, play golf and get to work on lots of unfinished projects.

Vince’s role as ROEA Senior High Director (since 1998) has involved his bringing the concerns of the high school staff to Curriculum Subcommittee. He has supported all of our concerns about curriculum and been our voice at the district level during this time. This is also the fourth time that Vince has served on the bargaining team. He is known for his ability to come up with a school calendar that is good for teachers and students, besides making sure it meets state requirements.
